We are pleased to advise that the reconstruction project on your street is nearing completion. While the construction has resulted in significant inconvenience, we appreciate the patience you have shown throughout this process. To date, we have replaced all watermain and sanitary sewer infrastructure, and reconstructed the roadways including new asphalt, curbs, and a multi-use pathway.

As you may have noticed, work on the site is wrapping up for this construction season. Currently the contractor is working to address construction deficiencies and finish some of the landscaping, with topsoil, sod, and hydro seed used on the grassed areas affected by the construction. Soon the project will be placed on hold for the winter, and all construction areas will be secured and cleaned up. As a result, some seasonal items will not be completed this year, and the contractor will be back in the spring to finish any outstanding work. The contractor is required to meet the Township’s standards for landscaping, and we will ensure this is done.

Township staff will visit the site in early spring to confirm there are no issues with the landscaping work and have the contractor address any deficiencies. Please bring any concerns you note to our attention as early as possible in the spring, to ensure we can have them addressed by the contractor in a timely manner.
