About the Project

We are planning infrastructure upgrades to Main Street, from Centennial Park east to the village sign. Phase 1 will be focused on the installation of the signalized intersection at Windermere Boulevard.

Our current expectation is that the project will be undertaken in three stages, in three separate construction seasons, beginning with Windermere Boulevard.

The overall project will accomplish the following:

  • Signalized intersection installation at Windermere Boulevard. This will include traffic calming measures and pedestrian crossing
  • Road reconstruction
  • Watermain reconstruction, including replacement of the existing high-pressure main
  • Sewer main reconstruction, including improvements to gravity drainage in the east end
  • Install sidewalks on the south side of Main Street
  • Install multi-use pathway on the north side of Main Street
  • Drainage improvements, including curb and gutter
  • Pedestrian crossing(s)

Work is anticipated to begin in May 2026. Impacted residents have been notified by hand-delivered letter as to what to expect as the project begins.

Residents on Main Street in Bath, between Somerset Avenue and Sir John Johnson Drive, will have temporary water service installed to enable to replacement of the watermain servicing their residences. Further updates will be shared when the installation is to occur. Township staff will be present onsite throughout each stage of the project.
