Celebrate Earth Day in Loyalist Township by taking part in three meaningful community events designed to help you make a positive impact on our environment.

Kick off the week with a little spring cleaning and responsibly dispose of unwanted e-waste, textiles, and used batteries at the Community Electronic Waste, Battery, Food & Textile Recycling Drive on April 18. It’s an easy way to clear out your home while keeping harmful materials out of landfills.

Throughout Earth Week, Loyalist Township will also host a week-long Community Cleanup initiative, inviting residents of all ages to help remove litter and debris from parks, shorelines, and public spaces across the Township. Whether you can spare an hour or an afternoon, your participation supports environmental stewardship, strengthens community pride, and keeps our shared spaces looking their best.

Wrap up the week with Giveaway Day on April 25, where residents can place gently used items at the curb for others to pick up for free. It’s a simple, sustainable way to reduce waste, reuse household goods, and give items a second life within our community.

Come out and be part of the movement to create a cleaner, greener community!

E-Waste Drive

Declutter your home and make a difference! Loyalist Township’s annual E-Waste, Battery, Textile, and Food Drive is an opportunity for Township residents to recycle responsibly.

Electronic waste, or e-waste, is among the fastest-growing waste streams worldwide, containing hazardous materials that can harm the environment and human health if not disposed of correctly.

Residents can swing by the Amherstview Fire Station anytime during the event, and drive to the back of the parking lot where Township staff will be waiting to help collect your recyclable items.

When and Where:

Dates: Saturday, April 18, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Place: Amherstview Fire Station, 363 Amherst Drive, Amherstview
