Project Description

Loyalist Township is consulting on a new municipal Taxi By-law to establish a modern, transparent, and locally accountable regulatory framework that reflects current industry practices, community needs, and evolving transportation options.

This engagement process will help ensure the new by-law promotes public safety, fairness, accessibility, and a balanced approach that supports both service providers and the travelling public.

Public and industry input will play an important role in shaping the new by-law. Residents, taxi owners, drivers, accessibility advocates, and other interested parties have an opportunity to share their perspectives through this survey, and public consultation sessions in the coming months.

While this process is underway, the Kingston and Area Taxi Commission continues to operate with its by-laws and at its office until September 2026.
