On August 12, 2025, Council officially endorsed the 2024–2033 Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The process to develop this new 10-year plan began in July 2023, with Thinc Design leading the project.

• Public engagement was carried out through multiple channels, including the Engage Loyalist platform, and involved input from residents, Township staff, and the South-East Health Unit.
• A draft version of the plan was presented to the Committee of the Whole in April 2025, after which it was shared with the community for final feedback before being brought back to Council.
• The final Master Plan outlines 157 recommendations related to programming, facilities, parks, trails, and service delivery. These are organized into short-, medium-, and long-term priorities.
