Project Updates
About the Project
Loyalist Township is seeking public input on proposed road name changes involving Edgewood Road, Harewood Village Park and Harewood Park in Bath. The proposed changes would result in a number of civic address changes and the create of two new road names.
Why are these changes being proposed?
- Existing civic addresses do not follow an orderly arrangement of odd/even as the by-law requires.
- The proposed changes will allow Emergency Services to respond quicker in this area and eliminate potential issues.
- The proposed changes allows the municipality to correct previous civic addressing issues and bring the impacted addresses up to proper civic addressing standards and allow for future changes to occur without creating additional addressing issues.
How can I provide input regarding the proposed changes?
- Attend the Public Information Centre at the Amherstview Fire Hall on February 5, 2025. The slide deck from the February 5th meeting can be found in the Document Library on the right side of this page.
- Initial online survey was available until February 14, 2025.
- Survey 2 was available until March 30, 2025.
- Opportunity to address Council during Open Forum for the April 8, 2025 Council Meeting.
- Download the resident suggestion map and provide your suggestions. Email the completed map to civicaddressing@loyalist.ca or bring to an upcoming Focus Group Discussion on June 9, 2025 from 6-7 p.m. at the Amherstview Fire Hall.
